Privatization of Urban Services.
PM Global staff organized in Turkey the first major conference on privatization
of urban services in the developing world. This conference concentrated on
mass transit, water and sanitation services.
Private Power Policy, Bangladesh.
PM Global staff guided the development of the private power policy approved
by the government in late 1996. The firm was instrumental in setting up the
Power Cell and developing a standard security package for power generation
projects. Subsequently, PM Global supervised the bidding for the first plant
solicited under the policy.
Telecommunications, Pakistan.
PM Global staff guided the development of a new regulatory framework for telecommunications
and helped to establish agencies for both commercial regulation and frequency
monitoring.
